New Websites
The cost of a website can vary dramatically based on the number of pages you want, graphic content, flash, etc. The following lists some rough pricing for one of our powerful self-managed custom websites. The actual number of pages on your site isn't a large factor in the cost of your page unless you want us to write the content. You will be able to add or remove pages and easily modify your content using our powerful editor!
Note: we can provide training early in your website development allowing you to begin writing your own content even as we are working on the custom layout for your site.

Existing websites
We also get requests to move your existing website into our environment, converting it to provide you with the same capabilites as our new sites. We cannot provide our self-managing/editing environment on your existing hosting provider and require that you move your website to our environment. The following lists some rough pricing for upgrading your current site (appearing exactly as it is) into our powerful self-managed environement.
Our sites use the .php rather than the .html extension (i.e. index.php instead of index.html). We may need to configure page redirections to ensure that your pages already in search engine indexes will still open the correct page on your upgraded site).
We recommend that if you already have control of your own domain name you keep it that way. All you need to do is change the name servers on the domain name to enable the switchover to our server environment. If you don't have control, we will need to transfer your domain to our registrar in order to manage it for you. The cost to do this transfer is very dependent on the cooperation level of your current registrar. When transferring we are required to extend the expiration date by one year. Your cost will be $10 plus whatever time we need to spend to coordinate the transfer from your existing registrar.

E-Commerce (Shopping Cart)
If you wish to do e-commerce with your website, there are a number major factors that will impact the cost. You can go as simply as a few PayPal "Buy Now" buttons placed on certain pages of your site to a complete shopping cart solution. A complete solution consists of a store front that displays your products, a cart backend that accumulates items/quantities, a payment processing module that will collect payment typically using a credit card, and an order fulfillment process.
There are literally thousands of companies providing all or some of these features. The most inexpensive way to get into e-commerce is to use PayPal. PayPal provides the cart backend, the payment processing (on the PayPal site), and order fulfillment (on PayPal site). You must have the "store front" implemented on your regular site. The extra cost to you to have this type of e-commerce can be as low as $0. Our standard website provides you with the ability to create pages, edit the content of those pages, AND add "Buy Now" and "Add to Cart" buttons. We can do this for you and typically charge by the time it takes us. When we creeate the pages for you, it can be as little as $15-20/page if you have all the graphics and word content in a final form.
There are other companies that provide the cart and payment processing (i.e. 1ShoppingCart.com). For these you typically have a setup charge, a flat monthly charge, and a per-transaction fee. We can help you setup accounts with these companies and simply charge you for the time involved.
We also provide a Shopping Cart solutions using the popular open source Zen Cart. Zen Cart provides all the components for e-commerce including the strore front, cart backend, payment processing, and order fulfillment. The store front, cart, and order fulfillment are on your site. Payment processing is done via plugins from a number of payment gateways of your choice. Zen Cart has shipping plugins with major shippers such as UPS and USPS, automatically computing shipping based on location, weight, provider, etc.
The most inexpensive Zen Cart solution is to use Zen Cart with one of its stock templates as your entire site for $100. With this you won't have access to any of our other website features. We can also add a Zen Cart to our standard site, making the Zen store front one of the links on your site. Again this would be $100 for a stock Zen Cart where you configure the cart and load your own products.
More deluxe solutions include customizing the Zen Cart template so pages match your site design, initially configure your store, and loading products. See the prices in the Services section below. Also note that if the payment plugin requires that credit card information is first transmitted to your site, you will need a digital certificate and have SSL to provide secure transaction. We will NOT configure a site where credit card information must be transmitted over an unsecure connection.
A digital certificate that validates your business is also a good way to make your visitors more comfortable purchasing from you. See the Certificates section below for more detail.

- $50 **Install a digital certificate on your site to enable secure transations. Note: this also requires a dedicated IP costing and additional $2/month on your hosting.
- $25 Purchase a digital certificate on your behalf from the Authority of your choice. You may also purchase certificates from us without this charge - see Certificates below.
- $70/hr custom Flash, **server PHP, or javascript development for advanced functionality on your site.
- $25 Add a flash object that has been created by another developer to one of your web pages. Note: this could be a video or audio clip for example.
- $60/hr Convert audio or video provided by you into flash suitable for direct listening or viewing from your site. Note: compression is used to reduce the size of the audio or video to enable downloading on slower connections such as dial-up.
- $75/page to write and format page content for you based on an interview (~300 words/page).
- $70/hr for custom graphic design such as logos, letterhead, etc.
- $50/hr content modifications to your pages. You can request these changes by phone or by e-mail
- $25 Create an e-mail account on your website - you provide us with name/password.
- $50/hr Consulting to help you configure your e-mail client (i.e Outlook, Thunderbird, etc) to use your account
- $12.50 Create an e-mail forwarder on your website (i.e. have an e-mail address using your website's domain that automatically gets forwarded to your home e-mail)
- $25 Restore a page from the last daily backup. Our backups occur every night at approximately 4am mountain time.
- $50 Restore a page from an earlier backup. We retain daily backups of your web pages for one month and a backup done on the 1st and 15th for one year.
- $50/hr General services on your behalf such as setting up accounts on other services, researching to help you make service selections, etc.
- $100 Install Zen Cart with stock template on your site (you must configure and load products).
- $25-50/product Load products on you Zen Cart store. You must provide all product information (price, shipping weight, description, image, etc.
- $250 Customize Zen Cart template to match your custom site
- $200 Initial configuration of your Zen Cart (configure payment/shipping plugins, configure your business information, define initial product categories, etc)
Certificates
We are reseller of Comodo SSL Certificates. The prices below are for a Comodo signed certificate. In addition to the certificate there is a monthly charge of $2/month for the dedicated IP address and a one time installation charge of $50. Purchasing certificated for multiple years is very cost effective as the price/year of the certificate gets cheaper and you will only incur the installation charge once.
